I felt so violated my skin was crawling and I was completely nauseated. He was keeping tabs on me by accessing my personal information, and had been for who knows how long. It was at that moment that I realised how he always managed to know what I was doing, what I was up to, who I was with. Luke had worked out we were in communication and was literally logged in to both our accounts simultaneously – accounts we'd never given him the passwords to – and deleting evidence. Then it dawned on us: right in front of our eyes, our emails were being deleted from our inboxes. She told me she would send me a link to the listing for the house Luke was buying with her, but no email came through then either. I was attempting to send Emma an email about a house Luke and I wanted to buy, which Luke had sent to me, saying, 'I think this house is perfect.' I asked Emma if she'd received my email, but nothing had come through. We were trying to send each other emails as evidence of our relationships with Luke and plans we were making. It was while we were on that phone call that we realised this story was even more crazy than we could have imagined. She was having a similar experience to mine: all the inconsistencies from the past two years were finally making sense, too. ![]() But we spoke that night for six hours, telling each other everything and swapping shocking stories. I found it and called her, nervous about what she was going to say. It was so lucky that I had kept Emma's phone number from when she'd phoned me a year earlier.
